My 10 year old son spent all of the money he received for his year-end straight 'A' report card to buy all of the Warriors' sets. He loves them! I, too, am reading them (52 years old and much more emotional...I cry at least once a book). He has started sharing his Warriors' books with classmates and the books are receiving high ratings from them, as well. I have recommended the Survivor series (dogs) to a classmate's mom who was having trouble getting her son to read (their 5th grade class is required to read a half hour each week day and one weekend day).These books grab your attention and keep it, to the point of not wanting to put them down. We even think of our cats differently now :-).Authors, Thank you so much for sharing your talents! We would love to see a movie or TV series, as well.All of the books sets that were ordered arrived on time (even the pre-ordered ones) and in new condition. VERY satisfied with the entire experience.

A friend mentioned this series to me, mostly kidding me about my love for cats (I have two) but also because they thought I'd be interested.I thought not- I am not a fan of the "fantasy" fiction genre', and am an avid Tom Clancy, Alistair MacLean, Ian Fleming manly/adventure category. I gave this series a try anyway. Worse comes to worse, I could read them to my cats.The writing, perspective, plot, realism and pace are incredible. Seriously. Try to put one of these down. They are a hidden gem. I'm honestly surprised.I didn't expect to like these, but I love them. They are an incredible escape, great writing and give you a perspective and appreciation for cats you may have never had. In short- a treasure. Actually, I'd love to see this series made into a movie series.

My son is OBSESSED with these books. He will read a book a day, sometimes more and begs me to buy the next set. Going from being a child I had to force to read for 30 min a day (or read to him) to this is absolutely amazing!As a parent, I like that the books are easy reading, and have elementary level plots. I know my son has been in tears a few times when characters were killed off, but none of the scenes are overly dramatic or violent. Just a sensitive kiddo.We will be buying this series until we have acquired them all.

This was purchase as a Christmas gift early in December of 2015 for my daughter. This collection had arrived intact and way before gift giving. My daughter enjoy reading this book series. She is now in her teens and she can not get enough of these Warriors series.Here's two fun facts:1st - Erin Hunter is a pseudonym who has a total of seven author working under the name of Erin Hunter.2nd - Beside the Warriors series there are three additional (individual) series... SEEKERS, SURVIVORS, & BRAVELANDS.

My eleven year old daughter loves this series and author. She goes through these books way to fast, definitely a page turner for her. The library doesn't always have these books so we buy them from amazon since the shipping is so quick and dependable!

I rate this product 5 stars because the quality of the books is great. It is definatly worth the money, (consider the 6 books) and the time it takes to order them. They aren't that cheap paperback printing that falls apart the first time it gets read. About the writing itself, it is very creative. The descriptive details enhance the story. The plot, setting, characters, problem, and the solution are well thought out. If I should say, there are many mini problems throughout the story. Each individual book is just the right length for a 9-12 year old to read. They average around 300 pages. The service was great. I got them a day before the expected delivery date. The price of these on AMAZON is way cheaper than what you would find in a bookstore. I would recommend this product to anyone who enjoys fantasy or creative storytelling. What an awesome buy that I made! I would order from this seller again in the future.

My son, the cat lover, is devoted to this series. He thoroughly enjoys each of these books! The box set arrived in great condition, all the books here and well. I know he is excited to read them all.

I really enjoyed the book for my kids, although I had thought it was more of a story book.It's great for my Baha'i kids and children's classes but I feel hesitant to read it at their school because some pages are very "God heavy" and in our class the teacher will have to review it first. But overall a great addition to our home library.

As a Baha'i I am always happy to find children's books that educate and celebrate. This is a lovely intercultural addition to my granddaughter's Baha'i library.

These books are beautifully illustrated and help us get in the spirit of celebrating the Baha'i Holy Days! I especially appreciate the diversity of people and languages because we are a diverse family :-)

This is the second time I have purchased this program. The first was when it was originally released a few years ago on cassette, and it won the Parents Choice Award (which is why I got it). It is faithful to the book, and the music is just amazing, bringing scenes to life and various themes are used to identify characters. Dorothy is wonderful, and thank God she doesn't do a Judy Garland impersonation like another OZ radio drama I heard by another company. The Lion does NOT do Bert Lahr as another reviewer here has stated (I didn't hear one "put 'em up" in the entire show:) and the Scarecrow really does sound like there is straw in his throat (this voice gives him real character and sets him apart - I think a normal voiced actor would not get the imagery across - we can't see him, like we do int he movie). The Tin Man was also a fun character, with his squeaky voice. The Wicked Witch of the West is not the cackling hag from the movie, but is played more like she is in the book (she is only in one chapter in the book and is not as large a role as in the movie), a mean old woman.What is good here is that all the major voices are very distinctive and you won't find yourself wondering who is who when the story takes off.Dorothy's entrance into Munchkinland is a beautiful moment in the show, with the music and chorus painting a magical picture, and the entrance into the Emerald City is spectacular. It's a fun production, kids will love it (and adults too).

All I know is the movie. The performance is good. The mixing is great. Buy it for a kid that loves the movie.

Great CD

Since there seem to be reviews for two totally different products mixed together here, this review is for the 2 CD Radio Dramatization of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.We sat down and listened to this as a family during lunch a couple of days in a row (myself, my 5 year old daughter, and my sons ages 7 to 13). We all thoroughly enjoyed this presentation. As has been mentioned in other reviews, the story is told mostly through the dialogue, with different people voicing each character. The voices are all distinctive and we had no problem keeping track of who was who.It has been a few years since I read the book, but this did appear to follow the storyline fairly faithfully. For people who are only familiar with the movie, you do need to realize that the movie is not very faithful to the book.The music and background noises helped to move the story along and we found them to be a terrific addition. The balloon rising and floating off without Dorothy, for instance... with the music, you could almost see it float away.We truly enjoyed this production.My only complaint is the packaging. Instead of a solid case of any type, the CDs were in paper sleeves, in a cardboard envelope with styrofoam to hold it in place. For the price, though, the lack of a jewel case is acceptable.

Once again I have been overwhelmed by the incredible talent of Jerry Robbins and the Colonial Radio Theatre On The Air. It never ceases to amaze me how diverse their repertoire is. Historically accurate stories, children's stories, adventure stories, mystery stories, horror stories, etc! This is of course is the infectious story by L. Frank Baum about a little Kansas bred girl named Dorothy and the incredible and fantastic world she and her dog Toto visit via a ride from a tornado.Please be warned this is not an radio dramatization of the movie starring Judy Garland. This is a first rate adaptation of the first in the series of OZ books. If I had to sum it up in one word I'd use the word innocent. The style of the drama is as the book is which is lighthearted, innocent, and just plain sweet. The acting is excellent and very warm-hearted and the pacing of the story is excellent along with the direction. The musical score is very much appropriate and you can almost see the characters in its notes. The cast is excellent from Dorothy right to the Wizard.If you have children and want to teach them to use their imagination or will be going on a long road trip take the OZ set by Jerry Robbins & the Colonial Radio Theatre and prepare to be transported back to the emerald city along with the inhabitants of the Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

First off, I'm as confused and frustrated as everyone else about Amazon's choice to merge reviews of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz: A Radio Dramatization with the old Kindle edition (I assume this comes from recycling ASN's). That said, this review is for the former.This dramatization adheres to a stage feel, adapting the book to the theatre rather than reading lines like an audiobook. For me, the experience was more enjoyable as actors were solidly in their roles, lines were delivered commandingly, and the experience felt immersive. If, on the other hand, you prefer traditional line-led audiobooks, I'm hesitant to recommend this recording as the style may feel halted and disingenuous to you.In either case, Dorothy's journey to see the Wonderful Wizard of Oz is so indelibly connected to the classic movie that a word of warning comes next. This play follows the original 1900 book, not the 1902 stage show on which the movie was platformed. And while it is not a line-by-line perfect rendition of its source material, it is most certainly not a Hollywood musical. The difference here is a darker, more dangerous Oz in which the perils of the journey are reflective of Baum's political intent in penning it.In sum, I found it a delightfully well done edition of the story with a well-selected cast, vibrant effects, and a clean recording.

The Stand is my absolute favorite book. It has been ten years since I read it, and my memory isn't the best (surprised to see my city mentioned! Didn't remember that!), but this all feels so true to the book. Any changes made to adapt to graphic novel are fine. I'm definitely a happy fan. If you're on the fence, especially if the book has such a place in your heart as it does in mine, go for it. I'd be surprised to find you disappointed. SO glad I bought the collection. I'm ready for more! Who needs sleep? Also, I'm reading on kindle and have no issues on that note.

It's not as good as Jae Lee's Gunslinger, but that is an art thing, and frankly where it has its moments, and it's not bad art, it also doesn't really fit the story. It felt like I was reading a Spider man artist drawing a King adaptation and it made for a weird juxtaposition

Great adaption! Beautiful artwork too.Great quality binding and cover, but the gold lettering on the hardcover is a little off center. It's a shame because the hardcover is otherwise beautiful, I wish I could un-notice it.

An excellent book to comic transfer, looking forward to reading the next set. If you're a fan of the book, you'll love this as much.

Gotta love the illustrations to Stephen King's Classic Novel. I've read this before and it is nice to see another visual aspect to the story other than the one that I saw as I read it!

Who ever was the person who thought to put all the comics into one set was a great thinker. This is a great start to a wonderful story and the ideas that build on this base make a for a thought provoking adventure for all who read. The story is sound, the artwork is great. A wonderful collection in a great book. Ideal for anyone who is a fan of the story, the author or comics.

Nicely condensed graphic interpretation of my #1 fave. Storyline and wording faithful to the book. Off to read the second volume now!

Stays pretty true to the edition I read back in '92 or '93. The detail thats left out of the text is obviously filled in with the illustrations.
